Terms of Service
Last updated: June 14, 2026
Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using Nymara ("the Software," "we," "us," or "our"). By downloading, installing, or using Nymara, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Software.
1. License Grant
Nymara is released under the MIT License for its core codebase. The Software is provided "as is," without warranty of any kind. The MIT License grants you the right to use, copy, modify, merge, publish, distribute, sublicense, and/or sell copies of the Software, subject to the conditions of the MIT License.
Paid features (Pro and Lifetime tiers) are governed by a separate Supporter License that unlocks additional functionality. Purchase of a paid tier does not transfer ownership of the Software.
2. Free Tier
The Free tier of Nymara is available at no cost and includes core media organization features. We reserve the right to modify Free tier features at any time, but we commit to maintaining genuinely useful free functionality.
3. Paid Tiers
3.1 Pro Tier
The Pro tier is a subscription license ($25/year) that unlocks advanced features including adult and anime metadata, AI agents, automation tools, and cloud sync. Pro licenses are per-user and may be activated on up to 3 personal devices.
3.2 Lifetime Tier
The Lifetime tier is a one-time purchase ($75) that grants access to all Pro features released within 24 months of purchase. After 24 months, you receive discounted access to new premium tiers. Lifetime licenses are per-user and may be activated on up to 5 personal devices.
3.3 Device Limits
Activating a license on a new device when the device limit is reached requires deactivating an existing device first. We reserve the right to enforce device limits to prevent license sharing.
4. Refund Policy
We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee for both Pro and Lifetime purchases. To request a refund, contact [email protected] with your order ID. Refunded keys are revoked with a 7-day grace period.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Share, resell, or redistribute license keys
- Use license keys for commercial purposes without an enterprise license
- Attempt to bypass license validation or tamper with the Software's licensing mechanisms
- Use the Software to organize content that violates applicable laws in your jurisdiction
- Reverse engineer the Software for the purpose of circumventing paid features
6. Data and Privacy
Nymara is a local-first application. Your media library data, file paths, and metadata remain on your machine unless you explicitly enable optional cloud features. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
7. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Software is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to the warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and noninfringement. We do not warrant that the Software will be error-free, secure, or available at all times.
Nymara performs file operations (move, copy, delete, hardlink). While we implement safety features (dry run, trash mode, journaling), you are responsible for backing up your data before using the Software. We are not liable for data loss.
8. Limitation of Liability
In no event shall the authors or copyright holders be liable for any claim, damages, or other liability, whether in an action of contract, tort, or otherwise, arising from, out of, or in connection with the Software or the use or other dealings in the Software.
9. Third-Party Services
Nymara integrates with third-party services (TMDB, Jellyfin, ARR apps, OpenSubtitles, etc.). Your use of these services is governed by their respective terms of service. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or policies of third-party services.
10. Modifications to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Software after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. Significant changes will be announced via the changelog and, where applicable, in-app notification.
11. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which the copyright holder resides, without regard to conflict of law principles.
12. Contact
