Common Issues

Permission Denied errors during organization

Run Nymara as Administrator if organizing system-protected directories. Alternatively, ensure your Windows user has Modify permissions on both the source and destination folders.

Quick fix: Right-click NYMARA.exe → Run as administrator.

TMDB Rate Limited

TMDB's free API has rate limits. Reduce worker threads in Settings → File Operations tab. If you have a large library, consider running metadata fetches in smaller batches.

TMDB API Key Invalid

Verify your key at themoviedb.org/settings/api. Make sure you've copied the full key with no extra spaces. The key must be activated (click the activation link in TMDB's confirmation email).

Preview table is empty

Ensure the input folder contains video files (.mkv, .mp4, .avi, .mov). Check that the source path is correct and accessible. Try refreshing the folder view in Windows Explorer to confirm files exist.

qBittorrent not connecting

Enable Web UI in qBittorrent Settings → Web UI. Use the same credentials in Nymara's qBittorrent settings. Verify the URL includes the port (default http://localhost:8080).

Jellyfin library refresh not working

Verify your Jellyfin API key has library management permissions. Test the connection in Nymara's Jellyfin settings. Ensure the Jellyfin URL is reachable from the same machine (use http://localhost:8096 for local instances).

Where are my settings stored?

Settings are stored at %APPDATA%\NYMARA\settings.v2.json. The app performs atomic writes via File.Move, so your settings are never corrupted mid-write. You can back up this file manually.

How do I reset my trial?

Trial state is stored in two locations: %APPDATA%\NYMARA\trial.json and the Windows Registry under HKCU\Software\NYMARA\TrialState. Deleting one is not enough. We recommend upgrading rather than attempting to reset trials.
